I don’t like to cook or eat with white flour, so I’m wondering if I can substitute oat flour in your recipes where it says white flour? – Kelly M Oak Ridge, TN
Hi Kelly!
Unfortunately, you can’t subsitute oat flour in my recipes or anyone’s with 100% success. There isn’t nearly as much gluten in oat flour (since it’s just ground oats) as traditional flour. Many things will fall apart. I’ve had a lot of success with pancakes and some muffins, but many things don’t work. I would personally use oat flour all the time if it did!
